Vision Statement
VISION STATEMENT:
The Vision of the Soul-Saving Sixth Episcopal District YPD for the 2004-2008: Is to enhance UNITY, throughout the district, while encouraging YPD'ers to become generational leaders of this NEW Age, building for CHRIST. To advance the kingdom of Christ by leading others to Him. To develop and cultivate leadership skills throughout the district. Striving to get rid of our heavy load.
About the YPD
HISTORY:
The Young People and Children's, established October 1915, under the auspices to the Women's Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. You will find African Methodists Episcopal Churches in Caribbean, South America, England and Africa. Y.P.D. units may be found in most local churches throughout the Connection. The Y.P.D. membership is estimated at over 800,000.
YPD PLEDGE:
I pledge my willing and untiring service to all efforts of the Young People's and Children's Division to aid the needy and suffering people, regardless of race, color or creed. I further pledge to take the Bible as my guide, to aid my church, and to attend meetings regularly. In all these tasks I seek the Savior's guidance.
YPD COLORS:
Forest Green is symbolic of growth and Christian Vitality; white represents purity, light and faith.
YPD MOTTO:
"Grow, Glow and Go for Christ"
CONNECTIONAL MOTTO:
"Generational Leaders, Building for Christ"
YPD STRUCTURE:
Mother Sunbeams (2-6 years); Allen Stars (7-12 years); Youth Auxiliary (13-17 years) ;Young Adults (18-26 years)

Connectional, District, Conference, Area and Local Level
